Born as the heir to the Sumuri realm, Akira was once the pride and joy of House Oshima. Anything he wanted was his and he was lucky to have a family who loved him deeply. The wealth, the luxury and attention- it's all part of a life he can't even remember now. He's been living a much more modest life as Song Jae-ha, one of the serving boys under House Khan. He was taken into service ever since he was found washed up on the shores of Aevon after an unfortunate accident which separated him from his mother. Unbeknownst to him, he has been used as a leverage against House Oshima countless times. He has worked hard all his life within the palace and has never suspected of being anything more than a very fortunate servant to the crown. He has never been allowed to go beyond the innermost sector of the capital, and as a merman he is limited to the pool in his room- earning him the nickname of "The Palace Goldfish". He now works as the personal servant of Empress Aliyah.

Aoi & Akira
Their relationship may have started out as mentor and pupil but I think it's safe to say that these two have a pretty awesome friendship nowadays. Aoi might get a little exasperated at Akira's own brand of naivety and he might occasionally worry about his sanity vis a vis anchovies but, for the most part, Akira will definitely be someone Aoi cares about and enjoys being around. All in all, I can see these two being pretty carefree when they're together and I can also see Aoi being more open around Akira than he usually is.

AKIRA & AOI > He's got so many merfolk questions coming his way in this starter already so I hope he's prepared  Honestly, I think Aoi is the only person that Akira can mermaid with so he's forever grateful for that alone and it really did change his life at the palace. So there are few people Akira is happier to see round the palace  Akira is- for all intents and purposes- like one of those green aliens from Toy Story to Aoi.
