Izumi is a merfolk, therefore she has the torso of a human and a fishtail for her lower half, while she is submerged in water. While in her merfolk form she is about six feet and three inches long. When she is on land she has the full body of a human and stands about five feet and seven inches tall. She has long, jet black hair, that comes down to her lower back. Underwater she lets her long hair flow, out of the water she normally keeps it top in some type of formal bun. She has very fair skin, though it tends to look paler while she is underwater, its texture is very smooth, clear, and lucky still free from wrinkles. She has a very small chest and bum, though nice round hips. Her narrow and sharp eyes are a rich shade of dark brown. She has an oval face shape with prominent cheekbones. Her nose is strong, straight, and slightly button-shaped. She has a straight eyebrow shape, and they are slightly abnormally lighter than her jet black hair. She has thin lips with a deep cupid's bow, naturally, they are a nice shade of light pink, though she normally wears a vibrate, red lip color. While underwater her fishtail has a basic color of dark blue with a few scales, here and there, the color teal and pink. Her fishtail has a soft blue glow while underwater.

Izumi was born the eldest of the Lord and Lady of the Oshima house. Her mother was a beautiful being, she had long blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Not at all resembling Izumi. Her father fell in love with the exotic features of this merfolk, and soon made her, his queen. Izumi looks like the female version of her father. Black hair, dark brown eyes, fair skin, and a thin frame. Her exotic colored fishtail is a mix of her mothers and fathers tail. Her mother had a soft pink fishtail, with various shades of pink and red. While her father had a deep blue fishtail, mixed with shades of teal.
Izumi's mother had a passion for visiting and swimming in lakes and rivers on the mainland, she loved these sceneries so much she named her daughter after them. Izumi meaning fountain and spring, while holding a royal tone to the name. Izumi grew up getting the highest treatment, best education, and highest living standards. Through this living style, that not many people got to have, Izumi developed a unique personality. She was raised believing that she was deserving of everyone's admiration, creating her also to be very confident in herself and her actions. Along with this belief that she was superior, it showed in her demeanor, though these ideas also made her narcissistic and a little too proud. Her servants were mainly the ones to 'blame' for these characteristic developments, always getting handed what she wanted took a toll on her humbleness. Growing up watching her father be assertive towards the staff and help, rubbed off on Izumi. Though she may be lightly cocky she can also be pleasant and agreeable, especially with people in the same social class as herself. Though Izumi had some of the best teachings, she had some of the strictest. Through this process, she had learned to be articulate and clever. She was also whipped into shape, not literally. She was kept physically active and very clearly womanly. She learned to be formal and, sadly, regimental just like her father. It wasn't until she started to learn from her mother and father how to rule over their region, that she gained some pleasant and not so pleasant personality traits. She has learned from her mother to be just and fair, and very conscientious, as well as circumspective. She learned from her father how to be businesslike, determined, and impassive. She may also have picked up his solemn trait. And it wasn't until Izumi had long been ruling over her land with her faithful husband, was her only son unfairly ripped from her hands did Izumi gain two more characteristic traits. Callous and Cynical.
